Natalia’s Story
Natalia was Raul and Monica’s daughter. She loved coming to El Adobe and helping with the family business, and customers loved seeing her there. In 2013, Natalia was diagnosed with cancer and passed away at age 11 a few months later. Her parents started Natalia’s Night at El Adobe to honor her and raise funds and awareness for children facing cancer in Northern Nevada.
Natalia’s Night & Day
That first fundraiser grew into Natalia’s Night & Day, a Northern Nevada event led by Northern Nevada Children’s Cancer Foundation (NNCCF), with support from the Reno Fire Department and participating restaurants. The 14th annual event took place Wednesday, September 30, 2026. Participating restaurants donated a portion of their earnings to NNCCF to help local children and families facing childhood cancer.
The 2026 event was part of NNCCF’s Know the Gold campaign, which supports financial, emotional, educational, and mental-health programs for children and families. NNCCF announced a dollar-for-dollar match for donations to that broader campaign, up to $1.25 million through February 4, 2027. This campaign-wide offer was separate from participating restaurants’ donations. Check NNCCF for campaign terms and future event details.
